MICHAEL ROMERO
ATTORNEY AT LAW / CPA
Michael Romero is both a CPA and a Licensed Attorney. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Cum Laude, from the State University of New York. He obtained intense training on large case corporate tax audits with the Internal Revenue Service. Later, he served as a treasury accountant for one of the largest trust companies on the West Coast.
He has worked in mergers and acquisitions including dozens of complex transactions in excess of several million dollars. He also possesses experience in the field of public accounting, audits, corporate real estate accounting and budget and finance.
Mr. Romero earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. As a professional in the Practice of Law in Northeast Oklahoma, he focuses upon the areas of estate planning, business, compliance and tax related matters and estate and business litigation. He has recovered and/or saved hundreds of thousands of dollars for his clients in matters involving estates, tax and business as well as helping numerous nonprofit organizations and clubs with complex compliance and reporting issues including nonprofit mergers.
Michael has served as an Expert Witness on certain accounting matters in United States Federal Court and has also successfully passed the Bar in more than one jurisdiction. Besides the Courts of the State of Oklahoma, he is also licensed to practice in United States Tax Court.
His personal interests include competitive strongman where his wife and children enjoy cheering him on as he competes at a national level. He has been an AAU National Champion in powerlifting as well as an NPC Bodybuilding Champion. Michael Romero believes that he is currently the strongest lawyer or CPA in the United States with competitive lifts in powerlifting totaling over 1,900 pounds and strongman lifts which include a 1,000 pound repetitive tire flip, an 800 pound deadlift and a 300 pound overhead axle press.
